What is Kava?
Kava is decentralized finance (DeFi) Platform that support multi-collateral asset including BTC, XRP, BNB and ATOM and offer self-issue loans without asking credit score and counter party. network is built by utilizing code from cosmos and operates on tender-mint consensus with bounded proof of stake mechanism. The platform uses stable coins to provide services in the finance, in which network has cross chain platform that has similar services like MakerDAO, but they don’t have capability to support ETH and ERC-20 Ethereum based token.
Basically, Kava is based on two main tokens, where it also features KAVA coin and governance token to stake in bonding curves of network validator. Kava also working on giving access group of diverse networks to new user in which primary they are using inter-ledger to integrate with diverse blockchain. To develop stable coin, kava uses XRP, which will provide boost to the CDP, means using platform user can lock their cryptocurrency and gets rewards in the form of USDX.
Kava with Proof of Stake mechanism allows user to staking and participate as validator in the network by providing governance. Test net was launched early in 2020 and on 11th June 2020 main network will launch, as currently they have more than 200 active validators on the network, so network can be maintained. In October 2019, using Binance exchange platform, kava conducted IEO to raise $750,000 USD.
